Drake AI video: CapCut template vs one-photo generator

CapCut and LightX templates or a one-photo generator for the Burning Bridges Drake AI video? What you get from each, the costs, and when each makes sense.

Oct 11, 2026

If you have seen the Drake AI video on your feed, you have seen two kinds of it, even if they looked alike in the thumbnail. Some are made with a free template in CapCut or LightX. Others come from a tool that rebuilds the Burning Bridges party scene around one photo. Both get you into the chandelier-lit room with a cup in your hand. They differ in what happens once the clip starts moving.

The short answer

Use a CapCut or LightX template if you want something free or cheap in a few minutes and don't mind that your face sits on someone else's body. Use a one-photo generator if you want your own outfit and build in the shot and the moves to follow the music video, and you're fine paying for it.

How a Drake AI video template works

A template is a finished clip that someone else made. When you tap Use template, the app takes the face from your photo and pastes it onto the person in that clip. Everything below the neck, the outfit, the moves, the framing and the length belongs to the template creator.

That is not a flaw so much as how templates work, and some creators did a careful job of copying the scene. Others only roughly match it: the room is close, the sway is off, the cup comes in late. Quality varies from template to template, so it is worth previewing a few before you pick one.

A few practical points:

  • Cost. Many templates are free to use. Some are locked behind a subscription, and free exports can come with a watermark, an end screen or a daily limit.
  • Shape. Templates for this trend are often vertical, which suits TikTok and Reels. The length is whatever the creator picked.
  • Availability. Templates get taken down and replaced all the time. If the one a friend used is gone, search for "drake burning bridges" again.

How the generator on this site works

The generator starts from the party scene itself and replaces the lead with the person in your photo. You upload one photo, press Make my video and wait about 7 minutes. You get a 15-second, 16:9 MP4 at 480P with the song kept and no watermark.

Because the scene is the base, the moves stay where they are in the music video: the sway, the point into the crowd, the hand flick at the camera, the raised silver cup and the wave, then the hands over the eyes. Your outfit and build come from your photo instead of from a stranger in a template.

The trade-offs are just as real:

  • It costs money. A video is 150 credits. Credits come in one-time packs; the smallest is $9.90 for 300 credits, which is two videos. There are no free credits for new accounts.
  • It's horizontal. The output is 16:9, like the music video. You can post it to TikTok or Reels, but it won't fill a vertical screen.
  • It takes a few minutes. About 7, during which you can close the tab; the video is saved in My videos.
  • There's no preview step. You see the result when it's done. If generation fails or times out, the credits go back automatically.

When a template is enough

  • You want to join in today and spend nothing.
  • The clip is a quick joke for a group chat.
  • You want a vertical video and don't mind whose moves you get.
  • You found a template that already follows the scene well.

When the generator is worth it

  • You want people to recognize the scene from the music video, not a lookalike.
  • You want your own outfit and build in the shot, not a stranger's.
  • You want an MP4 without a watermark.
  • You'd rather upload one photo than hunt through templates.

Either way, the photo matters most

Both methods start from a single photo, and the same photo problems hurt both: a face turned away, sunglasses, a warm filter, a cup or phone already in your hand. Use a clear, front-facing photo of yourself, or of someone who agreed. Photos of public figures and of anyone under 18 aren't allowed on this site. The photo guide goes into more detail.

Try both

Nothing stops you from doing both: make a free template version first, then run the same photo through the generator and compare. The step-by-step guide covers each method, and the prompts page covers a third route if you'd rather write your own prompt.
